Hi. We’re Shop, a multi-disciplinary design studio located in Vancouver, WA, right in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Things have been going well (thank you for asking), and we’re looking to bring on a back-end developer on contract.
Our studio has built a great mix of client partnerships across tech, publishing, and other sectors. At our core, we are a group of creative enthusiasts focusing on design, development, and digital marketing.
So, what are we looking for in a back-end developer? Good question.
We are logical, organized, and highly creative thinkers, and we’d like to work with someone who fits that profile. How about experience levels? Well, ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a back-end developer. You’ve spent a fair amount of time building custom web solutions (i.e., content management systems, and web applications).
Here are a few other things you might need to know. Ramp up times on projects are generally quick. As a result, we need a self-starter who can work independently and get stuff done.
One thing to take note of: This is a contract position. We’re more than happy to work with someone remote if it’s a good fit. Hours will vary depending on the studio workload.
Shop is committed to creating a safe and collaborative work environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. Ultimately we are interested in finding the individual who is best suited the job, not because it is the right thing to do, but because it allows Shop to focus on serving our clients the best we can. It also allows us to accomplish our mission of creating good design.
Please fill out this contact form and a member of our team will follow-up with you regarding the next stage of the process.
